Flash! Mr Bhandarkar and his producers should use this in their publicity: "a work of art - FICCI"

heh! corporate is so incredibly bad, someone SHOULD use 'a work of art' in their publicity blurb! it is their clear duty to do so.

I had expected some article on blocking the blogs in India by the authorities. I have been able to bypass the block and was disappointed to see our blogger Guru not posting an article on the present problem.
From 17th July I have been unable to view my own blog (though I am able to post articles in my blog) and other blogs in *.blogspot.com, *.typepad.com and geocities.com/*. So, I sought help from Blogger Support. Their computer generated reply told me the usual things you get and did not help me much. I don’t blame them.
One of my friends told me about the problem and I saw news items in some online newspapers also. India's Department of Telecommunications (DoT), reportedly, passed an order to ISPs on Friday to block several websites. An Indian political blog is reporting that the ban was initiated by the Indian intelligence service to stop terrorism.
The authorities may search for key words in various blogs and find out the suspected blogs and not gag the whole blogger community. I know that the task is huge and blocking all blogs is easy way out. I have every doubt about militants using blogs for their communications. A blog is an open forum and not an ideal place for discussing secret plans. The technique used by the militants is to share ID and password of an e-mail and leave instructions in the draft box. This way the militants don't require sending any e-mail and so, there is no question of intercepting an e-mail.
Will the authorities wake up to this simple fact?
